Contact Info: Sarah Lorraine | modehistorique@gmail.com About this site & its author: Sarah Lorraine has been researching and creating historical clothing since 1992 and doesn't plan on stopping any time soon. She lives in Northern California and is a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism, the Greater Bay Area Costumers Guild, and occassionally dabbles in other historical faires and festivals in and around California. A returning Costume College instructor since 2006, in addition to teaching modern fashion design, Sarah holds a B.Sc. (Hon) in Design from the University of California, Davis, and as of 2009, is pursuing her Masters in Art History at San Jose State University. Mode Historique has been online in various incarnations since 1997, and has always been a research website and online portfolio dedicated to historical clothing from a wide range of eras (basically anything Sarah finds interesting enough to research and sew). It is not a commercial website and Sarah does not take commissions. Sarah will also not do your homework for you, so don't even think about asking. Sarah believes in free information for all, and that the internet is a fabulous place for sharing knowledge, however she also believes nothing can take the place of a good, old fashioned library.
