If you have been living under a rock for the last month or so, you may have missed the fact that my pal Kendra is raising funds to publish her book on 18th c. wig and hairstyling!

Lucky me gets to model two styles in the book! Here’s the 1770s style using my own hair!

This book has been a long time coming! We’ve all marvelled at how awesome Kendra’s wigs are and now she’s sharing her secrets with us! If you haven’t already donated or made a pre-order, you should!

As of right now, she’s about 2/3rds of the way to reaching her goal, and she’s got some great offers for those who contribute. While you’re at it, you can also stay up to date on the latest news about the book by “liking” the Facebook page!

I cannot wait to see the end result… But we are only going to get that chance if more people donate! This book is the first of its kind, and fills in a big gap in historical costuming literature. We spend so much time on what we wear, that we often neglect major details like hair, usually because a custom wig is expensive and there’s no resource for making your own. I, for one, would consider it a big loss if this book doesn’t make it to publication.
